The last couple of days have been pretty rainy and really foggy so it let up some today and we went exploring!!! I am going to post pics below enjoy!
The first place we stopped at was this castle. It looks like they hold like a medieval festival there that we are totally going to have to check out!!
The tower to the castle and the door....I thought the doorway was really pretty
The walkaway and gates leading up to the entrance.
The castle and gate leading to the inside court yard.
Jerry getting ready to walk through the gates to the court yard.
The door entering the castle and me standing in front of it.
A view of the town below. We are on the side of a mountain looking down.
Another doorway that was locked but we got a couple pics of the inside...It looks like it was a chapel. See below for pics.
Jerry being silly and posing for the camera in front of the door that leads to the chapel.
A pretty window on the side of the castle.
We found a couple other gates that led in and out of the court yards and a view of the tower from the back side.
Italian graffiti on the side of the castle.
The wall going around the castle.
After we went to the castle we stopped off at a couple of churches and took pics of them. There are tons of churches all over the place here and some are absolutely beautiful!!
A view of the castle from the valley below.
We saw a really pretty tower as we were coming down the mountain from castle and of course we had to stop and take a look and get a few pics. This is the back side of the church.
This is the front side of the church and it is so pretty!!
We stopped here and I got a few more pics.
The churches and towers signify the center of tower. Here is the town center of Budoia.
Here is the church that is located across the street from the tower. I thought this was so pretty too!!
These were in the court yard of the church and I just thought that they were really pretty as well. (If you couldn't tell the word of the day is totally PRETTY)
We parked near the fountain when we stopped to take pictures and I thought it was sorta cool so of course I took a pic!
I thought this was really cool. Italy is a very Catholic country and they have many religions things painted, statues on corners, and many other things of the saints, the Virgin Mary, and other Catholic religious things of this nature. I just happen to really like this one. I believe in another post that I may have one of the roadside alters that they have everywhere. I will def have to get more pics of the paintings, statues, and alters while I'm here because they are absolutely beautiful!!!
