Caves, Castles, Oh My!

Since we've been home with baby boy we haven't gotten out much and gone exploring like we normally would. Today we decided we needed to get out of the house and check out some things in our local area. We had heard about Fregano, Italy and that it was beautiful there so we decide to head up there since it was only about 20 minutes from our home. When we got there it they had these caves and beautiful streams. It is absolutely gorgeous down there. We weren't really sure what we were going to see so of course I wasn't wearing shoes and had on flip flops so we didn't walk the whole thing. It was pretty slippery with the sand and water raining off the mountians. It was absolutely gorgeous and so cool down there. We loved it and baby boy sure did enjoy looking up at everything. He did really great the whole trip like normal! He's such a good little man!

Here are some pics from our Fregano, Italy:

After we were through with Fregano, Italy we headed to another nearby town called Polciengo, Italy. There they had castle ruins there. We had to walk up this beautiful little hill and the hubby pushed the stroller up thank goodness I didn't have to do it! It was pretty neat once we got to the top. The castle is missing many parts. The roofs are gone, the floors for the second story and it looks like the windows and doors have been blocked up too. The floors are covered in moss, there are trees and plants growing inside the buildings. It was pretty neat.

Omg Kelly the pictures are so beautiful! I envy you living there! I would love to go on vacation there just once in my life.

I think it's awesome the stories you'll be able to tell your son when he's older about living in Italy. It's great.
